I'm drawn to creating work that feels familiar and lived-in: illustrations that carry a sense of warmth, character, and a little bit of strangeness. At a time when so much of the visual world is starting to look alike, I want to bring intriguing characters and unexpected ideas into the mix. I believe the world needs more strange illustrations.

I knew I wanted to be an illustrator from a very young age. No matter what I was studying or what I was doing, illustration was the one thing I always came back to.

Studying Fine Arts gave me the technical skills to bring my ideas to life, while Graphic Design taught me how to work with software, communicate visually, and think in systems. Both have shaped the way I approach illustration today.

My favourite game as a kid was making little books. I would write stories, illustrate them with coloured pencils, add excessive amounts of glitter, and staple the pages together.

In many ways, that is still what I'm doing.

I never want to stop playing.
